The Meeting was called to order at 9:06am
Announcement:
• Due to construction, Holes #1 & #2 will be closed today.
August 5, 2026 Minutes:
• Reviewed & approved minutes. Motion to approve by Colleen Smiley with amendments as noted:
(Next Season 9’ers: This will be more organized and will run 4 or 5 (expect more than 4 or 5) times during the season. Each 9’er event will have a special program / game. We are looking for 2 volunteers to run the 9”er group for 2027.)
• 2nd to approve by Sandy Oberg. Minutes approved.
Committee Updates:
• TEAM, Patti Baith – Useless Bay won 2026 gross & net TEAM play. Dana at Useless Bay created a new TEAM scoring app. Made scoring much easier.
• Fellowship, Lisa Adair – Happy to send a card to anyone that needs one!
• Greens, Patti Baith – Greens meeting was Sept 24th. Work on #11 is waiting for permit approval. Mounds have been added behind #15 green. Cattails in the pond on #17 will be kept cut down. The pond will play like a bunker when the pond dries up in the summer.
• Eclectic, Suzanne Knutson – Last day for eclectic scoring is Oct 6th. Please total us your score.
Club Events Review:
• Each THURSDAY afternoon a group called “Thirsty Thursday” tee off at Noon. Usually, 6-12 ladies play and meet in the lounge for refreshments. This group is OPEN TO ALL lady golfers, of any playing level.
• WSWGA 2027 Seniors event will be at Canterwood. Dates to be confirmed. The 2027 Championship tournament will be at Mill Creek in July.• Need volunteers to run & score the 2027 Horse Race season. There will be 6 Horse Races in 2027. (Many in the room felt Sue Raney was a great scorer!) • Christmas Party is December 15th. No theme, just a great meal with great friends. We will have live piano music and a beverage container exchange. Bring a new beverage container and take one home! Holiday wine glasses, mugs, commuter cups….. any beverage container! • Due to weather and seasonal golfers, we are planning to run the 2027 season from May – October. We will confirm this is in accordance with the by-laws.

BUDGET – Treasurer’s Report:
• Angie Wright was not available. Kathy Chambers confirmed pay-outs for eclectic and weekly games has increased.
General Information & NEW Business:
• Ladies Club – 2027 matching shirts: We have decided on a light blue Levelwear top with our Club logo. Orders will need to be placed soon. This top will be worn for any TEAM or Club event that we want to be recognized as a Club. Craig will be taking our orders. You can buy one or all 3 options!
• Putters Group: Judii Kitting will be organizing a social putters group for 2027. This will be open to ANY and ALL lady members. Social members are welcome to come and putt. There will be a fee to join. The funds collected will be used to pay out putters! Judi will need help running this group. More info to come.
• Pro Shop Info: Pairings and starting holes were announced.
